With the appointment of Udo Nickel as new head of sales responsible for European AWP markets at Austrian Gaming Industries (AGI), the first-rate quality so characteristic of the entire Novomatic Group of Companies, makes itself manifest also in the company´s management: Many years of experience coupled with a profound knowledge of the desires and needs of customers and that feeling anticipating future developments in gaming, which has made the Group a pioneer of tomorrow's gaming, breaking ever new technological and geographical grounds. "Casinos can hardly be pictured without our machines, which is a development that we want to see also in the AWP sector. We believe that with Udo Nickel we have found one of the best people for this job", says AGI managing director Jens Halle, who proposed Nickel, then still working for the Gauselmann subsidiary NOVA in Hamburg, to join Novomatic at their headquarters in Gumpoldskirchen, Austria. Having a full 25 years of experience in the industry, Nickel spent the past 18 years of his professional career working for NOVA, a subsidiary of Gauselmann Group, going through the dispatching department and the export department, to be appointed officer and eventually managing director of the company. Upon the start of the new year, Nickel has moved to Austria to join AGI, the researching, developing and manufacturing figurehead of Novomatic Group of Companies. "It is precisely the AWP sector where I see great potential for future development, for both AGI and for our customers, who will benefit from the creative and the technological forces of the Novomatic Group in the future in very much the same way as has long become a matter of fact for casinos“, says the new head of European sales. Udo Nickel's new home, Austria, offers the skiing aficionado more than just a professional challenge – the proximity of the snow-covered Alps. But before Nickel can indulge in his hobby, the first big
exhibitions of the industry in this year are on his schedule: The IMA show
taking place from 15 - 18 January in Nürnberg followed by the ATEI
from 22 – 24 January in London. At both shows the new head of European
sales will present fascinating machines including the new "Magic Games“,
the "Hot Chip Runner“ and the "Action Runner“ as well as the "Tri Star",
which has been designed specifically for the Norwegian market, to name
but a small part of the new, intriguing AWP products of AGI.
