Management at Portugal’s Figueira da Foz was quick to recognize
the potential of IGT’s latest development, the Game King Plus™ machine.
Details have been finalized on an order initiated at London’s recent ICE
2002 gaming show and Game King Plus™ machines will begin to ship this week
for installation in Portugal before the Easter holiday.
Figueira da Foz, Managing Director, Fernando Matos says that the 19” high resolution monitor and compatibility of the Game King Plus™ with all of IGT’s video game themes made his decision to order and easy one. The order itself consisted of IGT’s most recently released games Enchanted Unicorn™, The Frog Prince™, Super Cherry™, Tailgate Party™ and State Fair™ plus favorites Triple Play Poker™ and The Munsters™. Taking full advantage of the flexibility of this machine, custom colored monitor bezels were, also, ordered for each game theme. As the Portuguese are avid video poker players, the balance of the installation will include 26 Triple Play Poker™ and Joker Poker™ games on standard 17” upright machines. “We are so sure that the Game King Plus™ product will be a good investment for our casino that we gave IGT more than 50% of our planned machine replacement for the year“, commented Mr. Matos. The Portuguese
casinos are strong supporters of IGT and its products. Figueira da
Foz is just one of 7 casinos in that country to use IGS™, IGT’s slot tracking
software. Plans have recently been completed to install the system this
fall in the eighth casino, Casino de Madeira.
