EGO Looking forward

The Netherlands
23rd April, 2002

With the advent of Budd and the impending changes in countries such as Italy and Belgium EGO has launched two new groups to assist in addressing the expansion of gaming in Europe.

Standards working group

A Standards Working Group has been created to take into account the differing specifications employed by companies from all over the world who supply into the European market.  Headed by Michael Eason, Technical Manager for Asahi Seiko, it will liase with other overseas industry bodies such as GSA in the United States to address the issues of differing specifications and the advantages to be had by adopting common standards.

Input is not only required from manufacturing companies but also from Operator Technicians who have to deal with the day to day issues of differing equipment specs. To become a part of this group please e-mail Michael Eason on michael.eason@aseuro.co.uk

Secretariat

To assist in the marketing and communicating the role of EGO a Secretariat has been formed from independent companies within the industry. Chris Brammer, Secretary General, Ian Sutton of Gamingfloor.com, Keith Fagan from GamingCo and Meredith Worsfold will co-ordinate all public relations and exhibitions on behalf of EGO.

Chris Brammer said, “ EGO needs to be seen and in the rapidly changing European market this can only be handled by an independent specialised team.  The Secretariat will provide the communications platform on which EGO will build for the future”

EGO’s Grand Tour

As part of the communications strategy recently introduced by EGO, Secretary General Chris Brammer and other members of the EGO Board will be visiting all EGO Members and prospective members over the coming weeks.

Chris Brammer said, “Given the new initiatives being taken it is imperative we keep in touch with our members and communicate our intentions.  This not only informs but allows people to give immediate feedback and their own ideas which will help make us a more efficient organisation.  Potential members also get a chance to ask first hand questions and understand what EGO’s plans are for the future and what EGO can do for them”

If interested parties wish to meet an EGO Board Member please contact Chris Brammer on secr.gen@ego.nl or Keith Fagan on mail@gamingco.fsbusiness.co.uk
