BMM selected as sole approved testing agency by Victorian Gaming Authority

Victoria, Australia
23rd January, 2002

BMM International today announced that the company has been approved by the Victorian Casino and Gaming Authority (VCGA) for listing on the Roll of Suppliers.

Prior to providing testing services in Victoria, the VCGA must grant approval for the testing agency to be listed on this Roll. “We are pleased to have received approval as a recognised supplier of testing services in the state of Victoria,” said Dr Sally Scott, Business Development Manager, BMM International.

“Acceptance as the only Accredited Testing Facility (ATF) currently on the Roll of Suppliers allows BMM to make gaming recommendations to the VCGA and Office of Gaming Regulation.

“This strengthens our position as an independent testing and certification agency for all types of gaming equipment, systems, software and restricted components, servicing manufacturers who supply equipment into the Victorian market and gaming operators,” she said.

Victoria is one of the largest gaming jurisdictions in the Australian Pacific Region operating 30,000 Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs), and is one of the most regulated in the world.

The Gaming Machine Control Act 1991 was amended and came into effect on December 1, 2001 requiring that ATF’s be on the Roll of Suppliers before their certification services are recognised by the VCGA.
