EuroTechno programme confirmed

    ATE, organisers of the third annual EuroTechno Conference, have released further
details of the one-day prestige Euromat event branded as ‘the definitive technology focussed conference for the European coin-op amusements industry’ being held in Amsterdam on Tuesday 14th May.

    Looking at what the coin-op sector can achieve, based on current and future technology, will be addressed by two leading figures in the field: Russell Hoyle, chief executive of UK-based operator Leisure Link, will focus on content development and ways of retaining revenue and users, in a presentation entitled ‘The Coin-Op Entertainment Market Of The Future’; bringing new existing ideas and games to market is the theme of ‘Converting Content Across Different Platforms – A Case Study’ hosted by Neil Chinn, managing director of Maygay Machines;

    Business aspects, including commercialisation and payment methods, will be covered by three leading exponents, including: Kevin Ashurst, managing director of Innovative Technology, who will be presenting ‘Opportunities Of Future Payment Systems For The Coin-Op Industry’; Carolyn Maze, commercial director, Europe at Static2358 – the on-line interactive content specialists who developed the digital television channels, Playjam and Yo-Yo – who will present ways of ‘Making Money & Learning From The Emerging Home Entertainment Market’; and Barry Shrier, marketing & sales director at PayBox, who will outline methods of ‘Paying Via Your Mobile Phone’.

    The experiences of major companies in the traditional casino and bookmaking sectors have much to offer their coin-op counterparts when it comes to on-line gaming development. Chris Stoddart – managing director of Attheraces Plc, the world’s first online betting site featuring live betting and race broadcasting – will present an overview entitled: ‘Traditional Gaming Services – How Is The Environment Changing?’ whilst Angel Gallego, general manager at Unidesa Gaming shows ‘How The Multi-Bet Video Slot Has Revolutionised The Casino Floor’.

    Further workshop sessions will look at methods of delivery for content to location and include: ‘Wireless Technologies And The Impact On Machine Content Delivery’ hosted by Eyal Orgil, business development manager at Cash-U; and ‘Entering The Broadband Era’ hosted by Hakan Erduran, managing consultant at Brain Vision.

    The programme of panel sessions and workshops will close with a summary presentation by Euromat president Eduardo Antoja looking at where the coin-op industry is headed and ways of overcoming the challenges it faces.
