ATE unveils post-Budd Promotion Conference

London
15th March, 2002

ATE, the London-based exhibitions, events and e-commerce business, has announced details of a two-day conference entitled "Marketing & Advertising for Gaming, Casino and Betting post-Budd". The event – which is aimed at board/senior management level as well as marketing/business development professionals throughout the casino, betting, bingo, coin-operated amusements and broader leisure sectors – takes place on 8th and 9th July 2002 at the Chelsea Village, London.

The conference is believed to be the first of its kind with ATE Marketing & Commercial Director, Julian Graves acclaiming it as a ‘vital first step’ towards taking full advantage of impending deregulation. He said: "Following publication of the Budd
Report and indications from Government that it wishes to develop Britain as a world centre for gaming and gambling, plenty has already been said about the opportunities and threats facing the industries involved. What have not been covered in any detail, however, are the practical ways in which companies will be able, for the first time, to market their
gambling/gaming products and services across the full range of media.”

This event will look at how these industries can take advantage of a new market environment and how to beat the competition by establishing brand and customer loyalty. It will assess how other industries are using mobile, interactive TV and on-line platforms for their marketing and advertising campaigns, how effective partnerships have been created and the legal considerations behind these changes.

ATE will announce further details, including a full programme and list of speakers next month. For more information on the Marketing & Advertising for Gaming, Casino and Betting post-Budd Conference, contact Suki Scade at ATE on: tel. +44 (0) 20 7713 0302, e-mail sscade@atei.co.uk
