WMS Secures Commitment From Harrah's Entertainment for Placement of Participation Gaming Devices

    WMS Gaming Inc., a subsidiary of WMS Industries Inc. (NYSE: WMS),
announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Harrah's
Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: HET), whereby WMS will premier video slot
machines based on the popular syndicated television game show
Hollywood Squares(R) exclusively in Harrah's Entertainment properties.

    WMS' agreement with Harrah's includes a comprehensive, national
multi-media marketing campaign for the new game. Following approvals
by the appropriate regulatory agencies, the Hollywood Squares-themed
participation gaming devices would be initially available solely at
Harrah's Entertainment properties. As part of the agreement, Harrah's
has committed to installing and maintaining a significant number of
Hollywood Squares themed slot machines at its properties during a
60-day exclusivity period in each jurisdiction, after which WMS Gaming
will install additional incremental units in other operators' casinos.

    WMS anticipates submitting the game for regulatory approval within
the next six months and, subject to approval, estimates that the first
products based on Hollywood Squares should be available in Harrah's
casinos in Fall 2001.
