| WMS Gaming Installs MONOPOLY Money Grab Participation
Games in Nevada;
Eighth Game in Highly Successful Video Gaming Participation
Series
LAS VEGAS & CHICAGO
Feb. 26th, 2001
WMS
Gaming Inc., a subsidiary of WMS Industries Inc. (NYSE: WMS),
announced it began installation of Money Grab™, its latest game in
the highly
successful MONOPOLY® themed participation gaming series in Nevada
casinos on February 12, 2001. Approvals for Money Grab in other North
American gaming jurisdictions are currently pending. The product
series is based on the classic MONOPOLY game, a product of Hasbro,
Inc. (NYSE: HAS).
Money Grab is the first MONOPOLY themed game utilizing
the
Company's innovative dual screen technology platform first made
popular with Reel `em In Cast for Cash®. In addition to WMS' dual
screen platform, Money Grab features an innovative top box design that
includes a 3-D model of the MR. MONOPOLY™ character inside a clear
dome filled with colorful MONOPOLY game money. When the bonus round
is
triggered, the money swirls around in the dome as the player plays
the
Money Grab bonus.
Brian R. Gamache, President and Chief Operating Officer
of WMS
Industries, commented, "The initial feedback on Money Grab from
players and operators alike is very positive. We are committed to two
MONOPOLY brand product updates per year and this latest version
infuses a whole new level of innovation, opportunity and excitement
into the product line. The proven dual-screen technology not only
brings a whole new look to the game, but introduces an entirely new
level of game interactivity which we believe will translate into a
higher level of player entertainment and longer game play."
Money Grab(TM) GAME PLAY
Money Grab is a nine-line, five-reel video slot featuring
the WMS
original song, "Doing the Money Grab." Characters include Miss
Virginia Ave., Marvin Gardens, Louie the Counterfeiter, Mrs. Park
Place, the MR. MONOPOLY character and his dog. A money booth sits on
top of the machine with MONOPOLY game money inside. The booth lights
up and game money swirls during bonus rounds.
A special base game bonus is triggered when three
Chance cards
align on an active payline. Players choose a Chance card and are
awarded credits or one of the three additional bonus features.
Money Grab offers two different second screen bonuses
- Timer
Money Grab and Cashier Money Grab. In each case, the player selects
a
contestant from the MONOPOLY game characters to enter the money booth
on the top screen. The booth will be filled with different
denominations of bills that the contestant then grabs. Awards are
given based on the contestant's performance. Bonuses are activated
when three timer clocks or cash registers line up on an active
payline, or by selecting a Chance card.
