WMS Industries Names Donna B. More to Its Board of Directors

WMS Industries Inc.announced today the appointment of Donna B. More
to the Company's Board of Directors. The appointment, effective immediately,
increases the size of WMS Industries' Board to nine members.
    Separately, WMS announced that Orrin J. Edidin, who has served as
Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel for both WMS Industries
and Midway Games Inc. (NYSE: MWY) since 1997, has been appointed
Executive Vice President and will continue to serve as Secretary and
General Counsel solely for WMS Industries and its subsidiaries.
    Ms. More is a partner in the Chicago-based law firm of Freeborn
and Peters, where she represents national and international casino
owners, operators and suppliers in numerous gaming jurisdictions,
specializing in the areas of acquisitions, licensure, regulatory and
compliance matters and acting as corporate counsel. Prior to joining
Freeborn and Peters in 1994, Ms. More served for four years as the
first Chief Legal Counsel to the Illinois Gaming Board, advising the
Board on licensing issues, disciplinary actions and a wide range of
legal and political issues requiring official action. During this
term, she drafted many of the rules which currently regulate the
Illinois casino gaming industry. Ms. More has previously served as an
Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois
and as an Assistant State's Attorney in the Cook County State's
Attorney Office. Since 1998, Ms. More has served on the Board of
Directors of Mandalay Resort Group (NYSE: MBG), one of the largest
gaming companies worldwide, and she is a member of the Board of
Trustees of the International Association of Gaming Attorneys. A
published author, Ms. More is also a featured speaker at various
industry and legal conventions on gaming industry legal matters.
    Mr. Edidin joined WMS in 1997 after serving for five years as
Assistant General Counsel of Chicago-based Farley Industries, Inc.
>From 1986 to 1992, Mr. Edidin was a Senior Attorney with the Chicago
law firm of Katten Muchin & Zavis. He is an active member of the
American Corporate Counsel Association and the International
Association of Gaming Attorneys.
    WMS Industries spun off Midway Games in April 1998 and Mr. Edidin
served, on an interim basis, as Vice President, Secretary and General
Counsel of both companies. Midway recently appointed a new Vice
President, Secretary and General Counsel.
    Brian R. Gamache, WMS Industries' President and Chief Operating
