WMS Industries Names Brian R. Gamache President and Chief Operating Officer

    CHICAGO--March 22, 2000--WMS Industries Inc. (NYSE:WMS) announced
today that Brian R. Gamache, 41, will become President and Chief
Operating Officer as well as Chief Operating Officer of the Company's
gaming unit, WMS Gaming Inc. Effective April 10, Mr. Gamache will
assume the Chief Operating Officer positions from Kevin L. Verner who
has served as WMS' Vice President and Chief Operating Officer as well
as Chief Operating Officer of WMS Gaming Inc. Mr. Verner, who joined
WMS in 1997 from a leading tobacco company, is leaving to pursue other
non-gaming industry business interests and investment opportunities.
The WMS Industries President position is held by Louis J. Nicastro who
remains Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Mr.
Verner will continue to serve WMS in a consulting capacity during a
transition period.
Since 1998 Brian Gamache has served as President of Wyndham
International's (NYSE: WYN) Luxury and Resort Division, overseeing the
operations of 31 luxury properties with revenues of approximately $800
million. Prior to joining Wyndham, Mr. Gamache was President and Chief
Operating Officer of WHG Resorts & Casinos Inc., a New York Stock

management company in Puerto Rico. WHG Resorts, formerly owned by WMS
Industries, was spun off to the Company's stockholders in April 1997
and was acquired by Wyndham International (formerly Patriot American
Hospitality) in January 1998. Under Mr. Gamache's direction, WHG's
properties were designated world class resorts and generated
significant earnings growth. In its last fiscal year before being
acquired, WHG's net income tripled. Brian Gamache joined WHG's
management company in 1990 as vice president of sales and marketing,
following similar positions at Marriot Hotel Corporation and Hyatt
Hotels Corporation.
Louis J. Nicastro commented, "Kevin contributed greatly to WMS
Gaming's growth over the last three years and its emergence as a
leading supplier of video and reel-spinning gaming products. We wish
him every success in his new endeavors.
"Having worked extensively with Brian Gamache in the past, we are
confident that he possesses a broad range of management skills and the
industry knowledge necessary to generate further earnings growth based
on the development of innovative gaming devices for a growing global
customer base."
Brian Gamache commented on his appointment, "I am delighted to be
rejoining WMS as the Company is poised to garner further, significant
market share growth based on its excellent design, engineering and
manufacturing resources and strong sales and marketing teams. In
addition to its position as a leading innovator, the Company has
excellent growth prospects based on international expansion, the
recent legalization of gaming devices at Native American casinos in
California, the ongoing introduction of participation games and an
excellent balance sheet. I believe that understanding the needs of
hotel/casino management will prove valuable to WMS as it pursues its
goals for growth."
