WMS Gaming's Reel 'em In Cast for Cash Approved for Sale in Nevada and Midwest

The Sequel to the Top-Earning Reel 'em In Debuts in Casinos with Dual Screen Technology
CHICAGO Feb. 8, 2000

WMS Gaming Inc., a subsidiary of WMS Industries Inc. announced that it received approval from the Nevada Gaming Control Board and Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) for numerous jurisdictions in the United States and Canada to sell its latest video gaming device, Reel 'em In® Cast for Cash(TM). WMS received the Nevada approval on January 3, 2000 and the GLI approval on February 3, 2000. With the introduction of this latest multi-line, multi-coin video product, WMS also continues to make its mark as a leading industry innovator, introducing new technology featuring two linked video screens.

"The Reel 'em In brand is wildly popular with players and has maintained its position as one of the top-earning game themes in casinos today. WMS is building on the success of the Reel' em In brand by making the sequel, Cast for Cash, even bigger and better with a long list of new hardware and software features,'' said Kevin L. Verner, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of WMS Industries Inc. "Our game designers took the concept of having two monitors, top and bottom, and really enhanced the game play. The player can follow the activity on the top screen as it relates to what's happening on the bottom screen.''

"We first displayed Cast for Cash at the World Gaming Congress in September,'' continued Mr. Verner. "We are now installing the games in casinos, as scheduled. Performance of the product in Nevada has been outstanding from both the hardware performance and earnings standpoints. Cast for Cash creates an entire new category of multi-line, multi-coin video with its dual screen technology and is different from any other product on casino floors today, allowing WMS to place incremental units and garner additional market share.''

Reel em In! Cast For Cash offers new technology with two linked video monitors, a regular 17`` or 19'' monitor in the standard upright or slant-top unit with a large full-color flat panel display in the top box, allowing an enhanced playing experience. Cast for Cash is a nine-line game, available in 9, 18, 45 or 90-coin versions. Just like the original Reel 'em In, three or more fishing lures on adjacent reels in a scatter pattern send the game into its bonus round. The five reels fade to reveal five familiar fishermen on the top screen and an underwater scene on the bottom screen.

Reel 'em In!® Cast for Cash(TM) Game Play
The player chooses his favorite fisherman in the bonus round. He watches him cast into the lake, seeing the bait and hook plop into the water and appear on the bottom screen underwater. Colorful fish of all shapes and sizes swim by the hook and bait. In a big swirl of fish and bubbles, one fish takes the bait and is reeled in.

The bonus rounds of Reel 'em In! Cast for Cash provide many other new features. A fishing vacation feature, for example, occurs when the fisherman reels in a bottle in the bonus round. The message in that bottle flies to center screen stating the player has won a fishing vacation bonus screen. Five postcards, from Paris, Scotland, Canada, Lake Mead and Alaska, appear on screen, the player selects his fishing location by touching a postcard. If the player selects Paris, for example, the fishermen appear on the River Seine with the Eiffel Tower in the background. The player then selects a fisherman who casts his line. The fisherman then reels in a Parisian fish for a bonus.

Reel 'em In! Cast for Cash offers many other features such as big fish eating the little fish for bigger player bonuses, an option to throw back a fish and try again, a fishing contest and more --all with a humorous soundtrack, creative animation and interactive game play.

Approvals for Reel 'em In Cast for Cash in other jurisdictions in the United States and Canada are currently pending.
