About SafeBet Organization, Inc.
SafeBet was initiated in 1998 by a small group of software developers who
had a simple question - Is online gambling fair?  They set out to write a
set of analysis tools to answer that question.  The tools they implemented
in 1998 were capable of playing and measuring the results of software of an
online casino and performing statistical analysis on the data.

Sherry Nisen, General Manager of SafeBet remarked, “The conclusion we
reached was that for the small number of casinos tested, online gambling was
fair, but could be easily manipulated to fool the average user.  The need
was clear - an organization that performs regular testing of casinos to
ensure that they are fair, and remain fair.”

In early 2000, the original developers sold their interest in these tools
to The SafeBet Organization Inc., a non-profit organization.  The SafeBet
Organization now uses these tools, and others that it has subsequently
developed, to monitor the fairness of online casinos.  SafeBet offers three
different membership levels.
