TCS turn the tables to make poker history

London
Tuesday, 19 Jun 2001

TCS have made another step in poker history, following their work with ‘Poker Million’, with the launch of a newly designed poker table for their sponsorship of the recent ‘World Heads Up’ Championship, held in Vienna.

The final match was between poker legend Amarillo Slim and French player Bruno Fitoussi – and had the crowd on its feet as Fitoussi managed to beat the wily Texan in under ten minutes.

TCS designed the unique tables to accommodate just two players and a dealer, and to make video-taping easier. The one big change was the yellow colour of the layout – again to allow better visibility on film.

Peter Lingard – Sales Director from TCS – was in Vienna to support the players – and handed the trophy to the winner. He is seen here with Bruno (left) and Amarillo Slim (right).
