ICE reaches 100 exhibitor landmark

29th November 2000

London's International Casino Exhibition will re-write the record books when it welcomes buyers to the Earl’s Court complex in January. The London show will feature a total of 100 exhibiting companies, a record number for an event which has registered year-on-year growth since it became a stand-alone exhibition in 1995.

An analysis of the exhibitor base provides clear proof of quite how international ICE has become. The 100 exhibitors which will be at ICE 2001 are drawn from 24 nations. Despite a large contingent of domestic companies, the data shows that 76% of ICE exhibitors are drawn from outside the United Kingdom. The top five represented nations are UK (24), USA (17), Netherlands (8), Spain (7) and France (5).

Commenting on the figures ICE sales manager Karen Cooke said: "Casino professionals throughout the world will be delighted to see so many leading exhibitors from so many countries at ICE 2001." She added: "The vast majority of exhibitions claim to be international, but in reality very few can live up to the hype. By working with the industry it serves ICE is one of the very few which is truly global."
