| New Layout Makes ICE 2001 Biggest Ever
26/10/2000
A major change to the layout of London's International
Casino Exhibition (ICE) will make the 2001 event the biggest in the show's
history.
ICE 2001, which takes place at London's Earls Court
Exhibition Centre 23/24/25 January, will be the first to have a circular
format, thereby increasing the floor space and allowing a free flow of
buyers around the hall.
The decision to dispense with the former horseshoe
style format was taken following post show research undertaken amongst
a sample of visitors to ICE 2000. The new circular format will benefit
exhibitors and buyers by reducing congestion in key areas and distributing
traffic around the hall.
Karen Cooke, speaking for the organisers said: "The success of ICE has
been achieved by its policy of listening to its customers. Having identified
the need to make the hall more visitor friendly I am delighted to announce
this important change." She added: "By opening up the
hall and making ICE 2001 the biggest in the history of the exhibition
we have also been able to improve further the on-site facilities. Buyers
and exhibitors will be able to take advantage of excellent food facilities
provided by Pret a Manger and a first class coffee bar provided by Costa
Coffee."
ICE is widely regarded as being the most influential
business event of its kind outside of the United States. The 2000 show
attracted buyers from no fewer than 85 nations, underlining its status
as a 'must do' business event for the international casino industry.
