ATE Ltd, organisers of London’s International Casino Exhibition (ICE), have appointed Julian Graves to the newly created post of Marketing and Commercial Director. Julian will be responsible for the management and marketing of the ATE exhibition portfolio. In addition he will actively seek and identify profitable new business opportunities for the company, both within and outside the core businesses.
A former Marketing and Exhibition Director for the IIR Group, Julian has over a decade's experience in the exhibition/conference industry. As Marketing Director of IPEX '98, the print and publishing business-to-business exhibition, he was responsible for a 15 per cent year-on-year increase in visitor attendance to over 90,000 and a 50 per cent uplift in non-UK visitors to 30,000. These statistics confirmed IPEX '98 as the most international trade exhibition in the UK.
ATE Chief Executive Peter Rusbridge said: "Julian joins us with an impressive track record. He has enjoyed considerable success, not only with established branded exhibitions such as IPEX but also with a raft of launch events. These credentials, combined with a sharp commercial focus, make him an important addition to our senior management team."
Commenting on his appointment, Julian Graves said: "ICE and its sister shows are well known and highly respected within the exhibition industry and it's a great privilege to be involved in their marketing and development." He added: "As a result of legislation, technology and market forces, the gaming industry is changing at a rapid pace. Part of my responsibilities is to ensure that the exhibition evolves to meet those changes and the challenges which lay ahead."
Julian Graves will be working closely with recently appointed ICE Sales Manager Karen Cooke. Karen, who joined the company in February, has over a decade’s experience in the casino industry working with companies including Aristocrat and John Huxley Casino Equipment.
Leaving nothing to chance – Julian Graves and Karen Cooke, part of the new marketing team taking ICE forward.
