Australian company KellyCom Gaming launches GamblingLicenses.com

SYDNEY, Australia
May 23, 2001

A new website has recently been launched to assist gaming operators, entrepeneurs and regulators with internet gambling information.

GamblingLicenses (www.gamblinglicenses.com ) features a click-on world map with links to over 56 jurisdictions currently offering internet gaming licenses, in addition to breaking news updates on new legislation.

"The launch of GamblingLicenses.com is particularly timely in view of the Nevada Assembly discussions this past week regarding internet gaming legislation," said Judi Kelly from KellyCom Gaming Pty Ltd, owner of the site, and a gaming specialist for the past 15 years.

"It's pleasing to see that the Nevada regulators have identified the global growth and current value of the internet gambling industry - and are working towards first-class regulation for existing land-based operators."

Meanwhile, Australia's internet gambling moratorium expired on May 19, with proposed legislation to ban internet gambling due to be debated in the Senate next month.

"It's a pity to see Australia take a 'head in the sand approach' towards internet gambling
regulation," said Ms Kelly, who set up GamblingLicenses.com as an adjunct to her internet gambling marketing and research business. "Clearly, the industry is here to stay, with countries such as the UK, Malta and Vanuatu offering comprehensive regulatory framework policies and competitive tax rates, thereby attracting a number of well-known gaming companies."

In addition, the site has an extensive gaming software section, with over 70 links to internet gaming systems and games providers. There are also a number of other links to support services, including testing agencies, e-commerce payment methods and general business tools including security software options.
