Johannesburg 17th Febuary.
Africa’s foremost gaming manufacturers’ and suppliers’ show, the Gaming for Africa Expo 2000, is expected to be the most innovative yet. This year’s show, to be held from 20 –22 June, 2000 at Gallagher Estate in Johannesburg, South Africa will showcase the latest gaming technology and products from established suppliers such as IGT, John Huxley, Novomatic, TCS, Bally, Unidesa, Bourgogne et Grasset, Abbiatti and Money Controls.
this year’s show is expected to be smaller than in previous years, organiser
André Gouws expects the show to be the most innovative yet, with
some of the bigger names in the industry pulling out all the stops to showcase
their latest games and technology for the African market.
"Despite the hold-ups experienced in the South African market of late, we expect the industry to gather speed towards the latter half of this year. With some of the bigger casinos opening their permanent facilities later this year and the route market finally set for a July to September roll-out, the Gaming for Africa show remains the continent’s most important venue for showcasing gaming products and services," says Gouws.
For the first time since its inception, the Gaming for Africa Expo is expected to attract all the major casino executives, buyers and decision makers from Africa and the Indian Ocean islands.
