The Casino and the Island

Vienna,
17th July 2000

The Bavarian Casino Group (Bayerische Spielbank) of Germany has opened its latest casino casino with a great party in the island-town of Lindau. The ergonomic Chipmaster of CARD, Casinos Austria Research & Development, is once again part of the story the Bavarians have ordered 22 units from their Austrian neighbours.

President Erwin Horak, chief of the Bavarian Lottery Corporation, and his Director for the Casino Division, Mr. RD Josef Müller, have made it a grand start of the new Spielbank Lindau on July 15, despite some changeable weather conditions. This marks the 4th opening of new premises within shortest time for the group.

Starting September 1999, the casinos in Bad Füssing, Kötzting, Feuchtwangen and now Lindau have been opened. The last one missing in this breath-taking opening carousel is the inauguration of the Spielbank Bad Steben in 2001, taking the groups total number of casinos to 9.

Numerous international guests from the country-triangle Germany, Austria and Switzerland took up the invitation to visit the newly constructed casino building overlooking the spectacular scene of Lake Constance in Lindau, and happily partook in the wonderful atmosphere. The international games on offer include French and American Roulette (Chipmaster supported), Blackjack, Poker and of course a big separate area fully packed with the latest in slots.

Chipmaster Images
Chipmaster differs from other machines on the market in two distinct ways. The machine is actually built into the table and the chips are delivered back onto the table surface, in front of the colour banks via hydralic tubes in stacks of 20. The following images are from CARD which is the research and development arm of Casinos Austria who have supplied 22 machines to Bayerische Spielbanken.
