Bally Gaming and Systems, a leader in slots, video machines and casino management software for the global gaming industry, announced today that Alan Osborn of El Cajon, Calif., won the latest instant-winner jackpot of $40,634.40 on the Blondie-themed wide-area progressive system Sunday at Viejas Casino and Turf Club.

Osborn hit the jackpot on a quarter “Big Dough” game, one of three distinct game versions in the Blondie series. The payout marked the sixth time the Blondie progressive jackpot has hit nationally and the first time it has hit in California. The Blondie slots have now produced a total of $220,267 in top awards paid instantly to lucky players in the first 50 days since their initial deployment.

In addition to a national Native American link that includes California and Connecticut, a statewide link in Nevada and one scheduled to go live in June in Atlantic City offer separate Blondie wide-area progressive systems.

Blondie, the latest in entertaining, high-jackpot games on Bally Gaming’s Thrillions® wide-area progressive system, offers a $25,000 initial jackpot that increases in relationship to player wagering. The game is designed to produce frequent jackpots and immediate payment to winners.

The Blondie series includes three game variations – Meal Ticket, Big Spender and Big Dough – and features re-spin bonus pays when three comic strip panels line up on the pay line. Blondie also offers Bally Gaming’s unique multi-denomination feature that enables games of different denominations to contribute to and compete for a common jackpot.
