MIS Group of Monaco acquires Gaming Systems International
(GSI)
Monaco
MIS Group, the parent company of Monaco
Informatiques Systèmes (MIS), today announced the acquisition
of Las Vegas based Gaming Systems International (GSI), a wholly-owned subsidiary
of MAI, Systems Corporation of Irvine, California. At the same time,
MIS Group President and chief executive, Christian Fabre announced that
gaming veteran Dean McClain has assumed the duties of CEO of GSI in the
United States.
“Today marks a significant milestone in the MIS Group’s goal of becoming a truly key global gaming company”, said Mr. Fabre. “GSI’s existing base of customers in the western hemisphere will allow us to introduce our advanced, field-proven gaming systems and cross-platform topology on a highly accelerated basis.” GSI’s new CEO, Dean McClain, formerly with Konami Gaming, Inc, in Las Vegas noted, “I look forward to working with GSI co-founder Roy Student and to helping our customers implement the most technologically advanced casino systems in the world.” Since founding MIS as a software development company in 1991, Christian Fabre has successfully and profitably diversified the MIS Group and its core competencies to include fully integrated, cross-platform technologies and enterprise-strength database management. In 1997 Monaco Informatiques Systèmes and GRIPS became the first gaming supplier in the world to gain approval for installation and deployment of SmartCard technology for gaming when it introduced its “Cashless” product to players at the Sun International properties. The entire MIS Group including GRIPS and GSI will
be exhibiting at both of the upcoming gaming shows in Las Vegas”, commented
Mr. Fabre. “We are confident the fully-integrated and cashless systems
we’ll be showing will pleasantly surprise more than just a few.”
