Blackjack Switch trials in Iowa

Birmingham, England
March 29th, 2001

Blackjack Switch has followed on from its impressive first exhibition at October's WGCE in Las Vegas, with its first installation in America, at Harveys Casino, Iowa.

The game opened on February 12th and is already showing signs of being a very popular and exciting new casino game.

"The table is full from early afternoon until late at night," stated Debbie Albertson, Casino Shift Manager at Harveys; "we already have a regular group of players who come here mainly to play the game".

The games success is based on giving the players a feeling of control over the outcome of their hands. An added level of decision-making also makes the game more appealing to the veteran Blackjack players.  Even the casino dealers have commented on how much more interesting it is to deal than regular Blackjack.

Despite only having been installed for 6 weeks, the casino is proposing to install an additional table. "The drop per day figures are excellent and we will be installing a second table in a prime area on our main floor" enthused Kevin Kaufman, Casino Director.  "We have received numerous encouraging comments from our players and we will be writing a special feature on the game in our next casino magazine edition".

The game still has a further 6 weeks to go before the trial ends and is already being lined up for installations in California and Nevada.
