British casino operator Rank
Group has revealed that first quarter trading is ahead of 1999 and
in line with analyst expectations. The company that currently has 32 casinos
is set to buy the Park Tower Casino in London from London Clubs for £14
million and also reported that gaming had seen "particularly good results".

has announced that it is selling its Park Tower Casino in Knightsbridge
to rival casino operator Rank
Group. Rank presently have 30 British properties under the Grosvenor
Casinos brand.
The terms of the deal are for a cash payment of £14 million plus
a further payment of £1.7 million should the property meet performance
targets. The Park Tower casino made a profit of £1.5 million in the
year to March 31st. The sale sees London Clubs casino holding in the capital
reduced to 6 of the 23 total.

Playboy
bunnies, a species extinct in London for almost 20 years could be making
a welcome return to the capital in 2001. Ladbroke Casinos a division of
the Hilton Group
has announced that it is looking for upmarket premises in Mayfair for the
new casino that will be an 80/20 split with Playboy. Hilton now has 27
casinos in Britain after purchasing Stakis in 1999.
Playboy and Ladbrokes in the late 70's and early 80's both had various
problems with the British Gaming Board that at the time resulted in their
licenses being revoked. The old Playboy club was located at 45 Park Lane.
The news failed to stimulate the Hilton share price and it ended down 6
pence at 256p.

to St.Petersburg and 121 to Moscow. Boris Spector, President of "Profit"
who have made the order detailed that the company expects to have some

Nijmegen. The jackpot of just over Dfl 3.5 million is the largest won so
far on the system. Mega Fireworks was installed in all 10 casinos belonging

Equipment Warehouse has announced a substantial amount of activity
during the first quarter of 2000. Included are supplies for the Las Vegas
One a 180 meter ship that will charter between Haifa, Israel and Cyprus.
The contract, worth in the region of $350,000 was fulfilled with equipment
despatched within 15 days of the original order.
Orders for the companies patented Special FX layouts have now also passed
1,000 units. In Moscow the company has also signed exclusivity deals on
layouts with the Crystal Palace and Krystal casinos.

Attendance figures for the January International Casino Exhibition at Earls
Court in London have been released and show the total number of visitors
at 4,036, made up of 3,131 buyers and 905 exhibitors. Visitors from the
ATEI show downstairs numbered 3,986 making a total of 8,022.
The show had a total of 99 exhibitors from 73 countries. Visitors to the
show came from 85 different countries with the US topping the list
at 237. Other countries well represented at what was the shows 10th were
the Netherlands, Sweden and Germany with 233, 178 and 175 respectively.

board members were elected including the positions of Chairman and Vice
Chairman. Taking up the respective positions after a balloting of members

casinos in Germany at Kötzting and Feuchtwangen operated by Bayerische
