A new casino law came into
efect on the 1st January 2006. Casino operators in Tbilisi must pay an
annual GEL 5 million fee. In Batumi opertors must pay GEL 1 million and
in Tskaltubo no fee is required.

| New laws in Kazakhstan came
into effect on 1st April, 2007. Casinos and slot halls are legal in only
two regions of the country - Lake Kapchagai (right bank) & the Shchuchinsk
region.
Kazinform reported
on the 2nd April that 14 casinos and 130 slot halls had already closed
in Astana.
